Why did I choose DCT over becoming an Associate? Dental Careers Guide Article
Following on from my article about Dental Core Training, I've recently posted an Article on the Dental Careers Guide on why this may be an option for you over becoming an Associate.
After Dental Foundation Training you are let into the wild world of Dentistry by yourself... well that's one possibility but for those of you looking to learn further in a training environment or are thinking about specialising, Dental Core Training i.e. DCT (previously DF2 or SHO) may be for you!
Although it's only around half way through your first year as a qualified dentist you should be thinking about your next options especially since applications start at the end of this week!
In the article I discuss some of the reasons why I chose DCT (although remember this doesn't mean you can't ALSO be an associate. I work weekends in practice as well!).
